One big benefit of this the Unsigned Theme is that the user can control many aspects of the site without needing any coding knowledge. The large number of widgets on the Home Page gives the user a great deal of flexibility to express their creativity, along with a number of theme options allowing for further personalization.

The use of Modules in Unsigned Theme makes it very powerful. Lets have a look at some of these modules and what functionality they add.

The Events Module is where you can organize upcoming events and sort them into categories for easy management. Upcoming events are pinned with a status of upcoming, right now, or past, to help keep track of your bands busy schedule.

The Events Module comprises of 3 Widgets which are where you input Times, Dates and Venues, keeping your fans updated on where you are, where you will be, and where you have been.

The Discography Module is where you manage album releases. Albums can be categorized, an album cover image can be constructed, as well as a unique catalog ID given and a release date set and announced. An audio player is available for each album. This player uses tracks that are uploaded directly when adding or editing an album. The tracks can be re-ordered and managed using native WordPress Lightbox Windows.

The Photo and Video Modules are for organizing and displaying Photos and Photo Galleries, which can be set to play all photos or to play a certain number of photos from a particular gallery. Just like other Woo Themes, Untitled includes the much favored HomePage Slider. This is where a large Background Image is displayed on the Home page as well as a slider content area above the content on the Home page. When navigating through the slider the Background image fades to the appropriate image.

In the picture above you can see that with just a push of a button you can change from the dark theme to a light theme.

Below, we add a different Background Image, and change some of the Homepage widgets, and in minutes the appearance of the HomePage is completely transformed.

Artist Of The Week: Nico Di Mattia

His interest in arts, comic books, animation and narration, and his passion for drawing and colors compelled him to enter the Cinema and TV school at Cordoba`s National University.

His first Speed Painting was in 2001 where he painted the poster from the movie Planet of The Apes on his bedroom wall and recorded the process on VHS. In 2007 Di Mattia moved on to the big stage by opening his own Speed Paining Channel on YouTube. He now has thousands of subscribers and his videos have been watched over 55 Million times.

Kinuko Craft is a Renaissance woman. By this I mean not that she paints like the Renaissance painters, but that she is an artist for all seasons, for all kinds of subjects, and in all kinds of styles. Her narrative art has included paintings for the book covers of many well known fantasy authors, opera posters, fairy tale books, and covers for many national magazines.

Ms. Craft is a graduate, BFA 1962, of The Kanazawa Municipal College of Fine and Industrial Art (known in Japan as The Kanazawa Bidai). She was born in Japan and came to the United States in the early sixties where she continued studies in design and illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for a year and a half. Subsequently, she worked for several years in well known Chicago art studios. Since the mid 1990’s, she has concentrated on children’s picture books, fantasy book jackets and poster designs.

His work can be described as surreal and unique in its own way. Using mostly pencil, watercolours and pigment pens, the artist create portraits of ordinary people and animal illustrations but create them in a unusual way by, embellishing patterns and watercolour effects into the portrait to give a vivid explosion effect—transforming their faces or bodies from something plain to something entirely bizarre and wonderful at the same time.

Iain Macarthur is influenced by many artists and illustrators – all with differing styles and mediums – and have turned to their work for artistic stimulation over the years. Among them are Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt, Lucian Freud, Jenny Saville, James Jean, David Choong Lee, Sergio Toppi and Ashley Wood. He also gained much inspiration through cartoons art and lighting; people’s facial expressions, eyes and different forms of organic patterns and shapes.

The artist choose drawing over painting as this allows him to create many layers over layers of lines and dots which react to each other in order to create a vibrant texture with directions and movement. This approach enables the finished work to be viewed more by the “senses” as opposed to the standard visual observation of a photo.

For Dirk Dzimirsky the practice of drawing is view as “reminiscent of scratching on a surface to observe what’s hidden underneath, where as the nature of painting projects more the inverse, covering and hiding details and forms that might have contributed to a sensuality of a work”.

His works are in private collections in Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland, Germany, Denmark and the USA.

Inspired by an overdose of Sci-Fi movies in his youth, tons of fantasy literature and more weird dreams than he cares for, these creatures have a definate dark, warrior-like feel. Metal, a cold and lifeless material, is cut, hammered, shaped and welded into organic, living creatures of dreams and nightmares.
