Here is the final result and picture used like reference for cookies, perspective and shadows.


1. Make a background using two shapes (square and triangle) and a white line.

Use this color and gradient settings to illustrate the table for cakes.

2. Make a new layer for plate. Add a white stroke with weight of 1px for a better contrast over table.

3. Copy the shape and using “Direct selection tool” move down the top anchor. Select bottom anchor and drag a bit like in this image.

5. Copy the first layer of the plate and place it behind. This will be used for shadow of plate. Apply a “feather” style with 25 pixels radius. Change the color to a more dark grey.

Nice tut….though from the angle u’ve shown, achieving a DoF like that is impossible…in this angle all the cookies are in the same distance from lens..the img is the correct angle for such a DoF effect..

Thanks. I know what you mean. I found that photo and i wasn’t thinking too far from there, from a photographer point of view. Maybe was used some macro settings?
