Contemporary Classicism Painting by Kinuko Y Craft

Kinuko Craft is a Renaissance woman. By this I mean not that she paints like the Renaissance painters, but that she is an artist for all seasons, for all kinds of subjects, and in all kinds of styles. Her narrative art has included paintings for the book covers of many well known fantasy authors, opera posters, fairy tale books, and covers for many national magazines.

Ms. Craft is a graduate, BFA 1962, of The Kanazawa Municipal College of Fine and Industrial Art (known in Japan as The Kanazawa Bidai). She was born in Japan and came to the United States in the early sixties where she continued studies in design and illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for a year and a half. Subsequently, she worked for several years in well known Chicago art studios. Since the mid 1990’s, she has concentrated on children’s picture books, fantasy book jackets and poster designs.

Amazing Digital Art Technique of Yoaz

Yoaz is 22 years old and get involved in the digital art from about two years ago, when he start to paint characters.
After that, he started to draw some abstract art, and decided to change it into digital art, which brought him to what he is doing and in present. His inspirations are Picasso for the way he treats portraits, always distorted but you can understand what he draws anyways, Keith Harring, for his shapes and energy, and Shepard Fairey, for the strength that conveys from his works. Yoaz work in Adobe Illustrator and after use Adobe Photoshop to give more power to the image.

Being asked about source of his inspiration used in illustrations, he answered that the only one inspiration is the person or character chosen, but also use a color, different lines or shapes according to the image and the way he saw it. For example, in process of the illustration of Jean-Michel Basquiat he took the inspiration from his paintings for used colors, like blue, yellow and orange but also in the shapes. Yoaz tried to do his own shapes and style but in a way you can recognize Jean-Michel Basquiat style.

Rubén Belloso talent is easy to be recognized and is not restricted to portratits. Till now Rubén has awarded with several prizes, among them the 2 nd Prize Gruas Lozano in 2009 and the 1st Award Juan Robles Youth values Culture in 2010 .
