With Halloween just around the corner, we thought it fitting to give you a quick tutorial on using Photoshop effects to give your photos a Zombie look. We are sure that you will get a kick out of these neat tips allowing you to make monsters out of friends family, work colleagues, anyone you like. Maybe change your Facebook picture to a Zombie, people will be freaking out
Lets get started. On the left we have the original image, and as you can see on the right our photo has been pimped out in Halloween style.
STEP 1
Open a photo in photoshop file>open or ctrl+O.
STEP 2
Duplicate the image layer>Duplicate layer or ctrl+J and name it zombie. Make sure that the layer is selected in layer panel.

STEP 3
Create a new layer layer>new>layer or ctrl+shift+N.Select the brush tool(B) in tool panel and with a light gray color paint it over the face ,make sure that the blending mode is set to HUE and change the opacity to around 60-70%.
This is the result you will get.

STEP 4
Create a new layer and create a path around eyes using PEN tool(P) then right click and select make selection, feather 0.You can also use lasso tool(L) for selection. Select the brush tool (B) again paint eyes with the light gray color and lower opacity around 60%

STEP 5
Create a new layer and pull it down under the layer of eyes now paint around eyes using red color with 0% hardness,change its blending mode to soft light.

Select the burn tool(O) and paint it over the eyes to give it a blackish look.

STEP 6
Select the layer we previously named zombie select the burn tool and paint it around the mouth ,chin and eyes

STEP 7
Create a new layer, select the paint bucket tool(G) and fill the layer with a color#b29a7c,change its blending mode to color and opacity around 37%.

Create another layer and fill it with color#475368 change the blending mode to overlay.

Create the third layer and fill it with color #475368, blending mode overlay and opacity around 70.

STEP 8
Create a new layer and select the brush tool with around 10 pixel radius and 0 hardness and paint it on face cheeks using color color#e03c32 (just few strokes) , select burn tool and paint it over it. Now select smudge tools and move it in a zigzag motion to give it a scratchy look.

STEP 9
Add some creepy texture on face like a barren land, set its blending mode to overlay and here you have it, play around a little bit for different results.
